My 13 year old daughter's basketball team raised $2,500 during a two hour practice session!!! The coach held a free throw shooting contest and the players each shot 100 free throws. They obtained pledges beforehand for each free throw they would make during the contest. Pledges were from $.10 to $1.00 for each free throw made. Not only did they raise much needed travel funds, but the team also had the best league free throw percentage for the season. |
